These terms apply when you use the Sovereign IAS website at https://sovereignias.web.app (the "Platform"). Sovereign IAS is run by Lokesh Yadav (proprietor) in New Delhi, India. "We", "us" and "our" mean Sovereign IAS. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the Platform.

By using the Platform or buying a course, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What we offer

• Free tests: previous year question (PYQ) tests for UPSC, UPPSC and BPSC.
• Free video courses: lessons published on our YouTube channel and linked from the Platform.
• Paid courses: recorded and live courses, offered for a price shown on the Platform before you pay. Some paid courses may be listed as "coming soon" and cannot be bought until they open.

We are an independent coaching platform. We are not linked to UPSC, UPPSC, BPSC or any government body. We do not promise any result, rank or selection in any exam.

2. Your account

• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP).
• You must give correct details and keep your phone secure.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your login, sell your account or let others use your paid access.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account. To keep the service fair, the number of tests you can start each day is limited.
• If you are under 18, use the Platform with the consent of a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these terms.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing paid access, copying content or misusing the Platform. If we close an account for breaking these terms, no refund is due for any course in that account.

3. Payments

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are shown before you pay. See our Pricing page.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
• A course is linked to the account you were signed in to when you paid.
• Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
• How and when you get access is covered by our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

4. Course access

• Access to a paid course lasts for the validity period shown on the course page at the time you buy it. If no period is shown, access lasts as long as we offer that course on the Platform.
• Live classes run on the dates and times shown on the course page. We may change a class time for a good reason and will tell you on the Platform in advance where we can. Recordings of live classes, where offered, will be shown on the course page.
• We may update course content to keep it accurate and current.

5. Use of our content

All tests, questions, explanations, notes, videos, PDFs and other material on the Platform belong to Sovereign IAS or are used with permission. They are for your personal, non-commercial study only (see also our Copyright page).

You must not:

• copy, download (except where a download button is given), record, screenshot for sharing, resell or redistribute any content;
• upload our content to other websites, apps, Telegram or WhatsApp groups, or social media;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect content or questions;
• try to break, bypass or interfere with the Platform’s security or other users’ accounts.

Previous year questions are public exam questions; our solutions, explanations and arrangement of them belong to us.

6. Free content and YouTube

Free tests and videos are offered as they are and may change or be removed at any time. Videos on YouTube are also subject to YouTube’s own terms.

7. Accuracy

We work hard to keep questions, answers and explanations correct. Mistakes can still happen. If you find one, please tell us through the Contact Us page. Scores, ranks and cut-off comparisons are practice estimates, not official results. We are not responsible for any loss caused by relying only on our content.

8. Your data

How we collect and use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about a paid course is limited to the amount you paid for that course. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for problems caused by your device, internet connection or third-party services such as Google, Firebase, YouTube or Razorpay.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the Platform after a change, you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to sort it out.

This policy explains what personal data Sovereign IAS collects through https://sovereignias.web.app, why we collect it, and your rights. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the rules made under it.

1. What we collect

When you sign in

• Your full name, which you type once after your first sign-in.
• If you buy a pass: the email address (for your receipt), State and City you give at checkout.
• If you sign in with your phone: your mobile number.
• Sign-in (mobile number + one-time password) is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

When you use the Platform

• Your test attempts: answers, scores, time taken and dates.
• Courses you have bought and your progress in them.

When you pay

• Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment ID, order ID, amount, date and payment status.
• We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking details. These go straight to Razorpay, which handles them under its own privacy policy and RBI rules.

When you contact us

• Through the contact form: your name, the email address or phone number you give for our reply, the subject and your message. If you are signed in, the form also stores your account ID so we can find your account.
• By email: your email address and what you write.

Analytics

• We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If we add them later, we will update this policy before doing so.
• If we switch on privacy-friendly analytics in future, it will only count page views and a few app actions (a test started or submitted, the Destiny Pass screen opened, a purchase completed) to learn which pages and features are used. It will not record your name, mobile number, email, account ID, answers or payment details, will not be used for advertising, and will not run in browsers that send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. We will name the provider here and change the date of this policy when we switch it on.

Device data

• Like all websites, our hosting provider (Google Firebase) may log basic technical data such as IP address, device type and time of visit, for security and to keep the site running.

2. Why we use it

• To create and run your account and let you sign in.
• To save your test results and show your progress.
• To give you access to courses you have paid for.
• To process payments and keep payment records.
• To reply to your questions and complaints.
• To keep the Platform secure and prevent misuse, such as account sharing.
• To meet legal and tax duties.

We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

3. Your consent

By signing in and using the Platform, you consent to us using your data as described here. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your account (see section 6). Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. Without this data we cannot provide your account, saved results or paid courses.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Platform:

• Google Firebase (sign-in, database, hosting)
• Razorpay (payments)
• YouTube (when you watch our embedded or linked videos, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies)

We may also share data if the law, a court or a government authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• Account and test data: while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after account deletion.
• Contact form messages and emails: up to 1 year after your query is closed.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete your account and data;
• withdraw your consent;
• raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India;
• nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

To make any request, including data deletion, write to sovereignias.help@gmail.com or use the form on our Contact Us page and choose the subject "Privacy / Data deletion". Use the same email or phone number you sign in with, so we can confirm the account is yours. We will act on your request within 30 days.

7. Security

We use the security tools provided by Google Firebase and Razorpay, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and limit access to your data. No online system is fully secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. Children

If you are under 18, please use the Platform only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not track children’s behaviour or show them targeted ads.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.

This policy applies to the Destiny Pass and to paid courses bought on Sovereign IAS (https://sovereignias.web.app). Free tests and free YouTube courses involve no payment, so no refund applies to them.

1. Before you pay

Please read the course page carefully before paying: what it includes, the price, the validity period and, for live courses, the start date. You can try our free tests and free YouTube lessons to judge our teaching first.

2. No refund once course access has started

Our courses are digital. Once access to a course has started, the content is available to you right away and cannot be returned. No refund is given once course access has started.

Access starts:

• for the Destiny Pass, as soon as your payment succeeds (the locked tests open right away);
• for recorded courses, as soon as your payment succeeds and the course appears in your account;
• for live courses, on the course start date shown on the course page, or as soon as any recorded or study material for that course is opened in your account, whichever is earlier.

3. Before course access has started

If you paid for a course whose access has not started yet (for example, a live batch that begins on a later date), you can ask to cancel before the start date. Write to sovereignias.help@gmail.com or use the form on our Contact Us page with the subject "Payment" and your Razorpay payment ID.

We will reply within 2 working days. If the cancellation is accepted, the refund is sent to your original payment method within 5–7 working days. The time it takes to show in your account depends on your bank.

4. Failed or double payments

• Payment failed but money was deducted: Razorpay or your bank reverses it automatically to your original payment method, as per their standard timelines.
• Charged twice for the same course: the extra payment is also reversed automatically by Razorpay or your bank, as per their timelines.

In both cases no action is needed from you. If the amount has not come back after your bank’s usual timeline, tell us with your Razorpay payment ID and we will help you follow it up. You can also track a Razorpay refund at https://razorpay.com/support/.

5. If we cancel a course

If we cancel a paid course before its access starts, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method within 5–7 working days.

6. Account closure for misuse

No refund is given if an account is closed for breaking our Terms and Conditions, for example by sharing paid access or copying content.

Sovereign IAS sells digital courses only. We do not ship anything physical. No books, notes, devices or other items are sent by post or courier, and there are no shipping charges.

How you receive a course

• Sign in to https://sovereignias.web.app with your mobile number (one-time password).
• Buy the course and pay through Razorpay.
• Right after your payment succeeds, the course is added to your account. Open it from your account or the course page.

The course is linked to the account you were signed in to when you paid, so please check you are signed in to the right account before paying.

Live courses

For live courses, your place is confirmed in your account right after payment. Classes are available in your account from the start date and at the times shown on the course page.

If the course does not appear

• Refresh the page, or sign out and sign in again with the same account you paid from.
• If it still does not appear within 1 hour of a successful payment, write to sovereignias.help@gmail.com or use the form on our Contact Us page with the subject "Course access" and your Razorpay payment ID. We will fix it, usually within 1 working day.
• If your payment failed, no course is added. Any deducted amount is reversed automatically by Razorpay or your bank, as explained in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Free content

Free PYQ tests are available on the Platform at no cost. Free video courses are on our YouTube channel and linked from the Platform.

All prices on Sovereign IAS are in Indian Rupees (INR). The price shown before you pay is the full amount you pay. No hidden fees are added at checkout. Your bank may apply its own charges for some payment methods.

Free

Destiny Pass

The Destiny Pass is a one-time payment that gives 365 days of access from the day your payment succeeds. It does not renew automatically. The launch offer ends once 100 students have used the code FIRST100. Access starts as soon as your payment succeeds, so the Cancellation and Refund Policy rule applies: no refund is given once access has started.

Paid courses

Paid courses are coming soon and cannot be bought yet. When a course opens, its page will show what it includes, its validity period and its price in INR before you pay.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. You can pay by UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking or wallets, as offered at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
